This morning at 4:52 a.m. Fort Worth Police Communications received a 9-1-1 call from the residence located at 7516 Cape Cod in reference to a man identified as 24-year old Oscar Carter attempting to kick in the door.  Details obtained by the 9-1-1 operator indicate that 19-year old Monica Cannon and her 7-month old son were inside the house with Carter outside kicking in the door.  Carter is reported to be the ex-boyfriend of Cannon and was just recently released from jail on family violence assault charges.  During the 9-1-1 call screaming was heard and the phone was disconnected.  Upon arrival officers found the residence empty.

Oscar Carter has a history dating back to May this year of violence.  The circumstances surrounding the 9-1-1 call, the empty residence, and the behavioral history of Carter prompted the Amber Alert.
