The Balch Springs Police Department had issued an Amber Alert for three month old Sergeney Sherif.  The girl was abducted from the parking lot of a Dollar General Store located t 11913 Lake June Road at around 11:30 AM on 3/29/05. The girl was returned to police by the suspect.

Police say Sherif's father and mother were at the store parking lot to talk with the suspect, a reported runaway through the Balch Springs Police Department.  The suspect drove a dark blue van.

According to police the suspect inside the van apparently knew the child's mother and asked to see the child.  The father handed the infant to the suspect who was seated inside the van.  The suspect then allegedly shouted to the driver to "Go! Go! Go!"

Police say the van sped away from the location with the three month old child heading west on Lake June Road into the Dallas city limits.
